In a stacked running back class, Tuten was often overlooked due to the fact that he played at Virginia Tech and was a bit smaller at 5’ 9” . One thing that anyone who watched Tuten would notice, though, is his incredible speed.

Tuten backed that up at the NFL Combine, running a 4.32 40-yard dash. With Tuten measuring in the green for all but one athletic test (shuttle), he would overcome his 5’ 9” and 206 lb frame to score a 9.32 on the relative athletic scale . As mentioned above, Tuten’s superpower is his speed. On film, Tuten consistently shows home run speed when he gets to the second level. On top of that, he shows strong hands out of the backfield and plus contact balance.

One of the main issues for Tuten is his inability to hold onto the ball. In 2024 and 2023, Tuten had four fumbles in each season. That’s a major issue and it’s tough for these kinds of players to have a role in the NFL. The hope is that Tuten can address this, but it’s something that can be extremely hard to fix.
