The
Chicago Bears , along with the rest of the NFL, are preparing for the start of free agency, which kicks off with the negotiation window on Monday at 11 a.m. CT. Chicago is expected to be a very active team when it comes to trying to address some of their holes on both offense and defense, and general manager Ryan Poles has his work cut out for him as he continues to retool the roster for new head coach Ben Johnson. While free agency is the focus right now, the 2025 NFL draft is just around the corner, where the Bears will look to make upgrades. But the trenches will be a point of emphasis on both sides of the ball. The first round of the draft is where teams could make the biggest impact. The Bears will make the 10th overall pick as they look to add something that will significantly improve their future.
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Tennessee Titans need help at the quarterback position. As they look to improve their chances of making the playoffs again, Cam Ward is the guy they take first overall to help them under center.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Cleveland Browns are married to their current QB situation for the time being. However, Abdul Carter being drafted to their defense would help them a lot.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The New York Giants need a quarterback. Ahead of free agency, Shedeur Sanders makes sense for them.
The New England Patriots select Travis Hunter in this spot. Will they use him to play wide receiver on offense or cornerback on defense? Will he play both?
The Jacksonville Jaguars take Mason Graham. He is one of the best players in the draft, and the Jaguars need help on defense.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The Las Vegas Raiders need to have a good wide receiver for Geno Smith, who they just acquired in a trade. Tetairoa McMillan is a good option for them in this position.
7. New York Jets : Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Not a lot of things go right for the New York Jets, but if they took Jalen Walker, their defensive line would be massively upgraded.
8. Carolina Panthers: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Carolina Panthers might have a guy in Bryce Young. Tyler Warren coming in as a potential tight-end option makes sense for them.
9. New Orleans Saints: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The New Orleans Saints are going to be rebuilding for a while. Building through the trenches would be smart for them. Armand Membou makes a ton of sense for them.
10. Chicago Bears: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Chicago Bears desperately need to protect Caleb Williams. Drafting Will Campbell to play on their offensive line would go a long way with some of their other recent trade additions.
The San Francisco 49ers unexpectedly had a bad season. Adding a strong running back in Ashton Jeanty would help them bounce back.
12. Dallas Cowboys : Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Dallas Cowboys could use a good tight end for Dak Prescot. They take Colston Loveland here.
13. Miami Dolphins : Kelvin Banks. Jr, OT, Texas
The Miami Dolphins are always looking to protect Tua Tagovailoa, and Kelvin Banks would go a long way in helping them do that in 2025 and beyond.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Indianapolis Colts have work to do on both sides of the ball, and Will Johnson would improve their secondary.
15. Atlanta Falcons : Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Atlanta Falcons have a ton of weapons on offense. They now need to work on their defense, and Shemar Stewart would be great for their pass rush.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
Kenneth Grant would be perfect for the Arizona Cardinals on their defensive line as they look to finally take another step with Kyler Murray's offense.
The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the four best quarterbacks in the NFL, but they did him no favors in 2024. Fixing their defense would help, and Mykel Williams would do wonders there.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
The Seattle Seahawks have a long way to go as they are starting fresh in a lot of areas. It is never a bad idea to build the offensive line first.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers : Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
The next running back off the board is Omarion Hampton, who will help the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are rolling along with Baker Mayfield.
20. Denver Broncos : Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Jihaad Campbell would do great things for the Denver Broncos defense, who did great things in 2024 to the surprise of many.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss
The Pittsburgh Steelers are having a very interesting offseason so far, including a massive trade for DK Metcalf, and only time will tell how many changes they make. Walter Nolen going to their defensive line would be a perfect move.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
Mike Green may be a good option to improve the Los Angeles Chargers on the defensive line as they might lose Khalil Mack, who was strong for them in recent years.
23. Green Bay Packers: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
The Green Bay Packers rarely add offensive skilled positions in the first round and things don't change here as they take James Pearce Jr.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon
The Minnesota Vikings will improve their defensive line by adding Derrick Harmon. This organization does well with drafting and that will continue here.
25. Houston Texans : Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
The Houston Texans have plenty of help on offense, so shoring up the secondary with Jahdaw Barron will be great for them.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Los Angeles Rams are bringing back Matthew Stafford, and he needs weapons to throw to. Matthew Golden could replace Cooper Kupp, if he does leave.
Malaki Starks would be perfect for the Baltimore Ravens who are great at drafting and developing players on defense.
28. Detroit Lions: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Detroit Lions have Aidan Hutchinson coming off an injury, so we don't know if it will take him some time to return to his elite status. With or without Hutchinson, Nic Scourton could turn into a great edge rusher.
29. Washington Commanders: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Washington Commanders would be wise to address their secondary. Nick Emmanwori is perfect in this spot.
The Buffalo Bills, who recently released Von Miller, could use some help on defense. Adding a premier pass rusher in Donovan Ezeiruaku could be a big add.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Darius Alexander, DL, Toledo
The Kansas City Chiefs don't need much, but Darius Alexander may help them be better on the defensive line. The Toledo product would be in a great position if he landed there.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
What do the Philadelphia Eagles draft and develop the best? Offensive lineman. Josh Conerly Jr. is someone that may take a chance on. There is a lot of talent coming off the board in this draft. There are teams addressing needs in this mock based on where they are entering free agency. Things are going to change over time as teams make signings that may fit the holes that are addressed in this mock draft. Throughout the offseason, mock drafts are going to change a lot. What teams need at the draft changes on a day-by-day basis. What teams ahead of you need may also impact what you end up drafting when your name is called.
