Monday, October 7
Funstoppable: The Amazing Race's "Team Fun"!

An opportunity for fans of The Amazing Race to meet "Team Fun" up close and personal. Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce share how they stay positive and use that energy for success. They will talk about their time on The Amazing Race and FUNdamentals and talk about how teamwork and success happened for them.
Samantha Power: Bold Women. Change History
When: October 7, 7–8 p.m.
Where: History Colorado

The former United States UN ambassador and Harvard professor is a crusader for human rights and has worked to right wrongs and educate others on global issues. A Pulitzer Prize-winning author presents her new book, The Education of an Idealist, and will discuss how we can each work to make a difference.

A Doll's House

Nora Helmer is picture perfect on the outside, she has everything everyone should ever want. On the inside, Nora has many secrets, doubts, fears, and struggles to save her marriage, her reputation, and herself.
Organic Subtleties
When: October 8, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Where: Walker Fine Art
Price: Free
This group exhibition of art inspired by intricate subtleties found in the natural world is free to view all day today at Walker Fine Art. "Subtlety is a difficult notion to describe, as it is not immediately obvious or noticeable. Sometimes the seemingly ordinary, seen in a different light, can open us up to the possibilities that surround us." The show is also free on Thursday, October 10.
Vampire Weekend: Father of the Bride Tour With Soccer Mommy
When: October 8–9, 7 p.m.
Where: Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Price: Starting at $49
New York City-based rock band Vampire Weekend plays the Red Rocks for two nights this week with both a Tuesday and Wednesday night show. Their globally inspired sound is a perfect fall evening, a date night, or a chance to get the whole family out for a night of music under the stars.
Wednesday, October 9
MANÁ: Rayando El Sol Tour 2019
When: October 8, 8 p.m.
Where: Pepsi Center
Price: Starting at $30
The acclaimed pop band from Guadalajara, Jalisco, has been lighting up the charts since 1986 and is widely considered the most successful Latin American band in history. The multi-award-winning group has been at the top of the music game in Latin America and beyond, and this promises to be a night of amazing music, and great energy from the band.
The Raconteurs and The Districts
When: October 9, 8 p.m.
Where: Mission Ballroom
Price: $69.50 and up
Jack White—lead singer and guitarists for the Grammy-winning alternative group the White Stripes—is in Denver with another of his bands, The Raconteurs, also known as the Saboteurs. After a long hiatus, the Nashville-based band is back on tour and rocking all night. The event is phone free.
Thursday, October 10
Boston Bruins vs. Colorado Avalanche

Because who doesn’t want to see skates (and possibly fists fly out on the NHL ice)? The Avalanche are back and ready to play. Let’s kick the weekend off with a nice brew, some good eats, and hopefully, an Avalanche victory.
Growing Minds: Story Time in the Gardens
When: October 10, 10 a.m.
Where: The Inn at Hudson Gardens
Price: $3 per child
This program is for three- to five-year-old youngsters and shows them the experience and amazing world of nature with stores of plants and animals told in the garden. The storyteller uses the garden to take the kiddos imaginations through the tales, along with songs and crafts all about fall. Stay after storytime or come early to stroll through the gardens, a perfect way to spend a fall day with the little ones.
