The new co-branded "Mile High City", a copper lager, debuted last week at the Pepsi Center.

Fans of the Denver Nuggets have a new way to show their support for the team, and it's in the form of an ice-cold brew. The team now has a brand-new beer, courtesy of Breckinridge Brewery.

Breckenridge Brewery has released Mile High City, "a brilliantly bright, full-flavored copper lager" that will be sold across the state. The new brew comes in a 15-pack of 12-ounce cans, and sports both the Nuggets and Breckinridge Brewery logos. It will be sold at the Pepsi Center, bars, restaurants, and stores in Colorado through April 2020.

The beer officially debuted last week at the January 30 game when the Nuggets took on (and won!) the Utah Jazz. (View the Nuggets' full 2019-20 schedule!)

The brewery describes the beer as a 5.7 percent ABV copper lager highlighting Full Pint and Munich malts. With 20 international bitter points, Mile High City has a "lightly toasted sweetness balanced with a refreshingly clean finish, and the exceptionally smooth brew offers a mild, spicy and fruity aroma.”

In a news release, Todd Usry, President of Breckenridge Brewery, had this to say about the new beer:

“Many of us at Breckenridge Brewery are big fans of the Denver Nuggets, and their impressive season has certainly given us a lot to celebrate, so we thought: ‘Why not make a Nuggets beer to cheer with! We brewed the beer to be smooth, light and refreshing so that it’s the perfect courtside companion for fans as they root for the Nuggets this winning season.”

Breckinridge Brewery is not new to the sports-and-beer collaboration game; they also brew a beer for the Denver Broncos, their United in Orange pale ale.

Colorado is known for its great beer, and we can’t wait to try this one! This is sure to be a gift any Nuggets fan will appreciate and a great way to get in the team spirit before, during, or after games the rest of the season.
