Police alleged the woman failed to appear in Cornwall court on Feb. 20, after which a warrant was issued for her arrest. Police also alleged the woman removed merchandise from a Ninth Street business on Tuesday, then assaulted the store’s loss-prevention officer. She was later transferred into police custody. The woman was charged with robbery. She was released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on April 17. A 39-year-old man from Cornwall is facing five charges after police investigated complaints about his behaviour. Police alleged the man threatened to harm his girlfriend and damage her property while communicating over text messages on Saturday. He was located and taken into police custody on Tuesday. The man was charged with four counts of uttering threats, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing in Cornwall court. ALEXANDRIA — Three men from Alexandria are facing charges following an OPP East Region community street crime unit investigation in Alexandria. Officers from the unit, with support from SDG OPP officers, North Glengarry bylaw enforcement officers, and North Glengarry firefighters, searched a Victoria Street residence on Tuesday. Police seized quantities of what they suspected was cocaine and psilocybin, an imitation handgun, and items associated with drug trafficking. The three suspects were taken into custody during the search.
