Bulk buyers and savvy shoppers flocked to Massachusetts' newest Costco outlet on Wednesday.

The wholesale chain company opened its seventh Massachusetts store at 160 Old Post Road in Sharon, according to the company’s website .

The Sharon branch includes a gas station, tire service, pharmacy, optical department, hearing aids and the Costco food court stocked with its signature inexpensive pizza and hotdogs.

In anticipation of a large crowd of shoppers and busy traffic, Sharon police informed WPRI that officers would be stationed outside the store during the first four days.

The other six Massachusetts Costcos are in West Springfield, Danvers, Dedham, Avon, Everett and Waltham. The company’s website has a list of store locations and operating hours.
