Now that's a reason to toast.
Get ready to imbibe! On September 22, at 7:30 p.m., Bubble's Liquor World in Castle Rock will be partnering up with Aim2Cure to raise glasses AND money to help in the fight against childhood cancer. The event will be held at the grandiose community event center "The Grange,"' and
tickets must be purchased online here (obviously you have to be 21 to attend). Proceeds from your ticket purchase will go directly to Aim2Cure, and we can't think of a better excuse to swirl, sip, and drink the wines you wanted to try anyway.
As for Aim2Cure, the foundation was inspired by a young girl named Aliyah Rachelle Siddiqui. In 1998 she was born with Downs Syndrome -- serendipitously to Regina Siddiqui, a special education teacher whose journey in life ranges from Kearney, Nebraska, to Karchi, Pakistan. With that came the challenges of raising a child affected by an extra chromosome -- even for someone as experienced as Regina. Then, in 2005, Aliyah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
There were many difficult times over the last five-plus years," she said. "Aliyah ran out of time before a cure could be found, but I try to remember and draw strength from the special times. These moments, big and small, have made a forever impression on my heart. Sharing these 'moments' through AIM2Cure will help raise awareness and funds for the medical research that is so needed for our kids.”

Unfortunately, Aliyah passed in 2010, but her legacy lives on through Aim2Cure. As you can imagine, Regina and her husband Saeed suffered tremendously as they fought alongside their daughter, but being the family-oriented, empathetic, ambitious people that they are, Aim2Cure events have raised over $500,000 to promote research, help with meals, and educate others when it comes to childhood cancer.
There is no doubt we will remember all of the pain and fear going through childhood cancer with our daughter. We will also remember all of the moments that brought her happiness and that she was passionate about. Our sweet daughter ran out of time before a cure for her cancer was found. She never gave up the fight. AIM2Cure, Aliyah’s family and friends, will continue where she left off."
Now you have a chance to be part of this momentum, and best of all, drink a little wine. So join Bubble's Liquor World and Aim2Cure, on September 22 at 7:30 p.m. at The Grange, but don't forget to
purchase a ticket!
