Two Florida men are facing aggravated animal cruelty charges, after local authorities determined they had abandoned their dog in an apartment, leaving the animal without food, water, or power. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office, according to FOX 35 Orlando identified the suspects as Frederick and Christopher Tindall who are currently awaiting extradition from Georgia to face their charges.

The incident came to light when a property manager discovered the dog, named Rosie, in a seriously neglected state in February, after the men had been evicted. Rosie was found "covered in infections and starving to death," as per First Coast News . Despite intervention and care from an animal rescue organization, the dog ultimately succumbed to her condition.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey made it clear that he was seeking justice for Rosie, and denounced the Tindall's actions. "What a bag of crap the two of them are," Ivey said in a statement detailed by First Coast News . Furthermore, in a video posted to the sheriff's office Facebook page, Ivey criticized the suspects' justification for abandoning Rosie, quoting them saying, "We come first."

The bond for each suspect was set at $3,000, but Sheriff Ivey expressed his dissatisfaction with the amount, stating it "should have been $100,000 in my book," as reported by CW34 . The timeline of how long Rosie was left alone, as well as any previous history of neglect or legal issues regarding the Tindalls, remains unclear at this time.
