The road to the Women's College World Series has begun, and once again , Florida State softball (46-9, 18-3) will start at the Seminole Softball Complex.

FSU is the No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament and has hosted a regional for five consecutive seasons. The Seminoles will face Robert Morris (30-16) on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

This will be FSU's 37th tournament appearance in program history, and it has hosted regionals for 11 of the last 12 seasons.

Other teams joining the Tallahassee regional are South Florida (43-14-1) and Auburn (32-22). This is Auburn's second straight appearance at the regional.

FSU is coming off a 2-1 loss to Clemson in the ACC championship. Before becoming the postseason runner-up, the Seminoles won their ACC regular-season title after defeating Virginia Tech in the series finale.

Last year, FSU lost to Oklahoma in the super regional. OU, a team that won four straight WCWS titles for four consecutive seasons, holds the top seed in the tournament.
