Warning, this book will make you hungry.

Pat Miller, founding partner of Dining Out Magazine, and renowned expert on all things happening in Colorado's culinary super-nova has released a new book, "Gabby Gourmet's Taste of Denver/Boulder," showcasing the best restaurants in Denver and Boulder. And it's fantastic.

Authored by local pen-wielding food pundit, Ruth Tobias, think of it as an encyclopedia, of sorts – with everywhere you've read about, only each page features excellent photography, musings on the restaurant's vibe, the menu's influences, signature dishes, drinks to order, pro tips, and why it was featured.

We warn you, though, every time you pick it up you'll be craving food. Then again, that's kind of the point. It's a celebration of all things culinary, and if you don't believe that food is functional art then this book might just change your mind. With effortless poise and whimsicality, the book gives you some backstory and some context to what you're about to indulge. Imagine going to a modern art gallery without the little cards that tell you what you're looking at. Sure, it can still be enjoyed but unless you're a seasoned art professor it's just not the same.

The good thing is, when it comes to restaurants, the book gives you everything you need to know and then some. Have visitors coming into town? Are friends asking you where they should eat next? Not sure where you want to take your significant other? Need to step up your Insta-game? All you have to do is open to any page and voilá! You've got an instant date night at one of the hottest restaurants in the country.

That means the book is a must for any food lover, Denver newcomer, or anyone who enjoys a masterful command of the English language.

As for me, that completes my shopping list. You can purchase your copy at diningout.com and don't forget to enter PINBIZ19 for $10 off.

Have you heard about the Da Vinci exhibit that's coming to Denver?
