The Illinois State Fair announced Grammy-nominated rapper
Snoop Dogg as the latest addition to its musical lineup on Wednesday. Snoop will be joining the fair's lineup alongside legendary musicians Sheryl Crow, Def Leppard, Megan Moroney and Turnpike Troubadours. Here's what to know about the state fair and Snoop's performance.

The fair will be held from August 7 to 17 at
801 Sangamon Avenue in Springfield. The fairgrounds are open from 7 a.m. to midnight for the duration of the fair, and
tickets range from $3 to 10 for adults and seniors. Children 12 and under get in for free. The fair also offers free and discount days for special groups, including healthcare workers, veterans and first responders. From the annual
Twilight Parade to
horse racing on the Illinois racetrack , attendees can enjoy the various rides, attractions, performances, parades, competitions and food and drink vendors throughout the fair. Each day
will be themed as well, with Agriculture Day on August 8 and Kids Day on August 9, for example.
When and where is Snoop Dogg performing?
The rapper will perform on the fair's Grandstand Stage at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. Gates will open one hour before the show.
How to buy tickets
Tickets for Snoop's show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15. They are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
General track tickets , which are standing room only in front of the stage, are $125, while Tiers 1-3 tickets range from $85 to $110. Blue Ribbon Seats, which are premium reserved tickets that include a bar stool at a high top table and a drinks wait staff, are $165. Concertgoers can also purchase a $30 pre-show party add on for access to a food bar, entertainment, giveaways and early access to the show.
