PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - One Richmond man is facing charges after police said they found a large amount of suspected methamphetamine in his vehicle. Police pulled over George Walker, 55, on Saturday, March 8 after they reportedly clocked him for traveling 51 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone on Hambley Boulevard in Pikeville. After searching his vehicle and finding suspected methamphetamine, police said they also seized cocaine, drug paraphernalia and money. Walker was charged with speeding 16 miles per hour more than the speed limit, failure to give a turn signal/improper signal, trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree - first offense (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree - first offense (greater than or equal to four grams of cocaine), and drug paraphernalia - buy/possess. He was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
