Per the Orioles' official website , the new video board will be 2.5 times larger than the current one in center field and will be the 12th-largest in any MLB stadium.

The total additions will amount to 1,125 feet of new ribbon board and nearly 16.7 million new pixels throughout the stadium, all of which will be in 4K resolution.

Approval for the project came from the Maryland Stadium Authority in January. The board voted to authorize bonds up to $135 million for the upgrades.

It was part of a larger agreement that was originally announced in December 2023 when the Orioles extended their lease at Camden Yards for 30 years. They can opt out of the deal after 15 years if they don't receive approval from state officials to develop the land around the stadium by the end of 2027.

That deal included a total of $1.2 billion in funds split evenly between the Orioles and Baltimore Ravens to make stadium upgrades as part of legislation passed by the Maryland General Assembly in 2022.
