New Mexico Senator Ben Ray Luján hosted events throughout the week to highlight his efforts on behalf of New Mexico's residents. According to a statement from Senator Lujan, on Tuesday, March 18th, he visited the Anthony Water Treatment Plant to celebrate the completion of two federally funded water infrastructure projects in Doña Ana County. Funding for the Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF) was secured and the completion of the projects will help connect rural homes with drinking water and wastewater treatment services. Along with celebrating his efforts on the completion of the water infrastructure projects, he began his week-long series with two events where he visited the Mary Esther Gonzales Senior Center in Santa Fe to meet with seniors and discuss ways to protect Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare for New Mexicans and held a roundtable at Roadrunner Food Bank and discussed the needs of New Mexico food banks and efforts to support food banks in the Farm Bill.
