Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Hinted That He Might Run For President

'The Rock' told GQ that he's considering making a run for the presidency in 2020. When asked about it, the former WWE star didn't even hesitate to say "I think that it's a real possibility." The Washington Post even published an op-ed mentioning that 'The Rock' could make for a good candidate. After all, a lot of people seem to really like the last president who had some acting experience - I'm speaking of course about former President Ronald Reagan. Sadly though, the Rock wouldn't be the first person to take office with experience in the ring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkghtyxZ6rc However, in all seriousness GQ makes a point – that that few match his global popularity and "if Johnson's personal magnetism were any stronger, birds in his vicinity might plummet from the sky, their internal navigation mechanisms thrown off by the force of his personality." Plus, his experiences growing up poor, his mix of ethnicities, and the fact that the film industry always typecasts him as a strong lead role could really challenge things.
As for Johnson, if he decides to run we can expect him to take it very seriously. “I care DEEPLY about our country… and the idea of one day becoming President to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring. Buuuuut until that possible day, the most important thing right now is strong honest leadership from our current and future leaders of this country” he said on Instagram. What are your thoughts?
