Florida man was found dead in the woods near Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area in Collier County on Monday, May 5, apparently mauled by a bear. Wildlife officials were called to the scene after a report of seeing a bear kill the man's dog. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded and searched the woods, where loud pops could be heard before officials hauled out a dead bear.
