Formula 1 returns this week with an exciting event at one of the fast tracks on the circuit, as the best drivers in the world head to Italy for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Once again, the series heads to one of the fastest, and more infamous tracks in the series. Imola is known for its tight corners, but long straights that see some of F1’s most daring drivers test their mettle. It is also the place where legend Aryton Senna tragically lost his life in 1994.

Heading into this year’s event, the battle for the world championship seems to be shaping up between the two drivers at McLaren Racing. Oscar Piastri has been at the forefront of the series, sitting with four wins on the season, including winning the last three races in Bahrain, Saudia Arabia and Miami.

Teammate Lando Norris sits second in the standings heading into this weekend, but with just one thus far, the British driver has some work to do to keep up with his driver.

Since F1 returned to Imola in 2020, four-time defending series champion Max Verstappen has dominated, winning the last three events. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are the only other active drivers to have won at the track.
